The Tekbox TBDCA1 is a DC-coupled power amplifier with low output impedance, designed to amplify signals from function and arbitrary waveform generators. With a DC to 3 MHz bandwidth (−3 dB), up to 150 W continuous output power and 10 A RMS output current, it can drive low-impedance loads beyond the capabilities of conventional signal generators.
The amplifier provides five selectable gain settings from 0 to 40 dB, adjustable DC offset and selectable AC or DC coupling. Dedicated voltage and current monitor outputs allow the output signal and load conditions to be monitored during testing.
The TBDCA1 is suitable for automotive electronics testing according to ISO 16750-2 and ISO 7637-2, power supply impedance measurements and immunity testing according to MIL-STD-461 and RTCA/DO-160. Combined with an arbitrary waveform generator, it can reproduce voltage profiles such as engine cranking conditions in vehicle electrical systems.
