Applications
The BK Precision DAS1800 is a modular data acquisition system for multi-channel recording and analysis of electrical and physical measurement data. The base unit features ten module slots that can be configured with any combination of four different measurement modules, providing either 4 or 8 channels per module. The system can therefore be configured with up to 80 analog inputs or continuously record up to 40 channels at 1 MSa/s per channel.
Depending on the selected measurement module, the DAS1800 can be used to measure voltage, current, resistance, and temperature. The D18-HVM4 enables direct measurements up to ±1500 VDC, while the D18-MUX8 provides eight channels per module and supports both thermocouples and RTDs. For high-speed signals and transients, the D18-UNI4, D18-HIZ4, and D18-HVM4 provide simultaneous sampling at up to 1 MSa/s per channel.
The system can record data at up to four different sampling rates simultaneously, allowing slow-changing signals and faster transients to be captured within the same measurement. Analog and digital filters provide internal signal conditioning, together with automatic measurements, calculation functions, and power analysis.
For applications where measurement data from multiple units needs to be time-correlated, the DAS1800 supports IRIG, GPS, and PTPv2 (IEEE 1588v2) depending on the system configuration. The DAS1800 is also available in the DAS1800-SYNC and DAS1800-SYNC-BAT base unit versions.
The system supports Network Attached Storage (NAS) and MODBUS server functionality. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, together with web server and VNC support, enable remote access, control, and monitoring over a network. The free DASpro PC software can be used to view and analyse recorded measurement data.
The DAS1800 features a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen for configuration and display of measurement data as real-time waveforms or numerical values. Customisable dashboards and an integrated sensor library simplify the management of different sensors and measurement configurations. Sensor information, units, and conversion functions can be stored for recurring measurements.
The internal 2 TB SSD provides storage for measurement data, configuration files, and screenshots. The DAS1800 also features USB, Ethernet, and HDMI interfaces, digital inputs and outputs, and dedicated power outputs for external sensors. An optional internal battery provides up to 3.5 hours of operation for portable use.
