RIGOL is pleased to announce the next generation of our Oscilloscope technology in the DS70000 Series.
The DS70000 is the first Oscilloscope with RIGOL’s UltraVision III Technology. This combines new performance, speed, and analysis capabilities with a completely new interface designed for this 15.6”multitouch display. In fact, the DS70000 series represents the next iteration of both our UltraVision II oscilloscope technology and our UltraReal real-time spectrum analysis technology as well as our most advanced hardware platform ever.
Speed & Performance Capabilities
RIGOL’s latest custom front-end ASIC technology makes it possible to extend our application reach even further with this new DS70000 platform. Models will be available in 3 GHz and 5 GHz bandwidth that include:
The new high resolution capability allows users to set the desired number of bits (up to 16) for the measurement and then reports the available bandwidth. This removes signal noise that can obscure important test results
Advanced Analysis Capabilities
The DS70000 includes our most complete debugging and analysis capabilities:
The new multipaned interface makes analysis by isolating these important measurements in separate windows:
The Real-Time Spectrum Analysis toolkit creates a RF Density view of one of the analog channels with the capability to visualize RF across the entirety of the instrument’s bandwidth at one time. (Se figure 3) This is the evolution of our UltraReal technology that provides up to 40 MHz of bandwidth on our real time spectrum analyzers.
Designed for Usability & Convenience
The DS70000 has 2 separate touch displays. The main 15.6 inch display has an electronically controlled tilt feature for optimal viewing and control with a secondary display (on the right) to keep menus and options out of the way of important test results.
For engineers who prefer tactile control, the instrument has separate scale and position knobs for each channel and the horizontal that are backlit and color coded with the high-speed active probes while utilizing photoelectric encoders for smooth performance and long-term reliability.
The new active probes are available in 3.5 and 7 GHz models. This provides excellent 3 and 5 GHz measurements to the probe tip. These active differential probes also have automatic spacing controls with 3 user defined settings at the touch of a button, a work light for making connections, and automatic color-coding LEDs to match the signal on the display.
The DS70000 is also compatible with RIGOL’s existing differential and single ended probes at 800 MHz, 1.5 GHz, and 2.5 GHz.
Next Generation Data Availability One of the key challenges for engineers working with high performance digital oscilloscopes like these is data storage and availability. This requires improved digital hardware to store, move, and organize measurements, analysis results, screenshots, and videos that will later assist in debugging and process control. The DS70000 includes:
The web interface for the DS70000 is our most advanced with new features to record movie files directly from the browser control, move application windows on the display, and send programming commands directly to the instrument. In addition to these web controls, the LAN interface also creates an FTP repository for easy access to all the saved data and setups from any computer on the network. This also simplifies firmware updates and licensing which can now all be done without a USB memory stick.
