Megger MPAC208 PRO-kit Acoustic Camera

The Megger MPAC208 is an acoustic camera for non-contact detection and analysis of compressed air and gas leaks, partial discharge and mechanical anomalies in industrial environments. Featuring an array of 208 MEMS microphones and advanced acoustic imaging technology, it visualizes ultrasonic sound sources directly on the optical image, enabling rapid localization and efficient fault detection even in noisy surroundings.

The instrument operates within a frequency range of 2–100 kHz and offers a detection range of up to 200 metres. Built-in functions for leak quantification, PRPD analysis for partial discharge classification and mechanical condition monitoring provide a versatile solution for predictive maintenance and condition assessment. SoundScan™ technology guides the user towards the primary sound source even when it is outside the camera’s field of view, while the Focus function suppresses background noise to produce clearer acoustic images.

The high-resolution 13 MP camera, 8-inch capacitive touchscreen, up to 10 hours of battery life and support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, USB-C and microSD make the MPAC208 well suited for field documentation and reporting. The camera can also be expanded with optional thermal imaging modules for combined acoustic and thermal inspections.
