Spårbar kalibrering
Calibration ensures reliable measurement results. The process determines whether the instrument’s indicated values correspond to reference values or whether deviations occur.
The instrument’s measurement values are compared with reference values and the results are documented in a calibration certificate.
Traceability and reference standards
Calibration with traceability means that performed measurements can be traced back to national and international measurement standards.
The standard used in our laboratory is traceable to a national standard, which in turn is traceable to an international standard. These standards, together with their stated measurement uncertainties, form an unbroken and verifiable chain of traceability.
In Sweden, the national measurement standards are generally maintained by RISE – Research Institutes of Sweden. Our traceability is established through accredited calibration laboratories in Europe.
What does adjustment mean?
In some cases, our calibration technicians can adjust the instrument so that the indicated value is as close as possible to the true value. After such an adjustment, a new calibration is performed to verify the result.
