The Rohde & Schwarz HM8118 is a programmable LCR bridge designed for precision measurement of inductance, capacitance and resistance in laboratory, development and production environments. The instrument supports measurements of L, C, R, impedance, admittance, Q, D, phase angle and transformer parameters with test frequencies from 20 Hz up to 200 kHz.
The HM8118 provides 0.05% basic accuracy, up to 12 measurements per second and both series and parallel measurement modes for component characterization. The instrument includes programmable internal voltage and current bias, support for external capacitor bias up to 40 V and open/short/load correction functions.
The LCR bridge is supplied with a Kelvin test cable and 4-terminal SMD test adapter for stable and repeatable measurements. A galvanically isolated USB/RS-232 interface is included as standard, while IEEE-488 (GPIB) is available as an option for automated test system integration.
