The Metrel A1532XA is an EVSE adapter for verification of electrical safety and functional testing of Mode 3 EV charging stations with a Type 2 connector, together with compatible Metrel installation testers. The adapter enables simulation of both Proximity Pilot (PP) and Control Pilot (CP) states for testing charging station operation under different connection and charging conditions.
The A1532XA supports three-phase load testing up to 13 A via the banana socket outputs and single-phase load testing via the socket output. It also supports simulation of different fault conditions, including PE open, diode short and CP short to PE via diode. The CP signal can be monitored via the dedicated BNC output.
When used with the MI3155 EurotestXD, MI3152 EurotestXC or MI3152H EurotestXC 2.5 kV, the adapter supports functional tests and EVSE AUTO SEQUENCE®, allowing electrical and functional testing of the charging station state by state. Station-based reports can also be created using Metrel MESM; the MESM licence is available separately
