The Megger MPAC208 is an acoustic camera for non-contact detection and analysis of compressed air and gas leaks, partial discharge and mechanical faults in industrial environments. Equipped with an array of 208 MEMS microphones and advanced acoustic imaging technology, it visualizes ultrasonic sound sources directly on the optical image, enabling rapid localization and efficient troubleshooting even in noisy surroundings.
The instrument operates over a frequency range of 2–100 kHz with a detection range of up to 200 metres. Built-in leak quantification, PRPD analysis for partial discharge classification and mechanical condition monitoring provide a versatile solution for predictive maintenance and condition assessment. SoundScan™ technology guides the user towards the primary sound source even when it is outside the camera’s field of view, while the Focus function suppresses background noise for clearer acoustic images.
The high-resolution 13 MP camera, 8-inch capacitive touchscreen, up to 10 hours of battery operation and support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, USB-C and microSD make the MPAC208 ideal for field documentation and reporting. The camera can also be expanded with optional thermal imaging modules for combined acoustic and thermal inspections.
