The Hioki PW3337-03 is a benchtop power meter designed for accurate measurements in single- to three-phase AC and DC systems. It features three independent measurement channels and supports voltage measurements up to 1000 V and current measurements up to 65 A directly, or up to 5000 A using external current sensors.
Unlike conventional power meters that rely on shunt resistors, this model uses a zero-flux current transducer (DCCT). This eliminates heat generation and minimizes long-term drift, ensuring stable accuracy during both short-term and extended measurements.
High accuracy is maintained across a wide frequency range from DC up to 100 kHz, making the instrument suitable for both standard power measurement and analysis of modern power electronics with fast switching characteristics.
The instrument supports harmonic analysis up to the 50th order in compliance with IEC 61000-4-7, with adjustable limits to simplify verification against regulatory standards.
The integrated 16-channel D/A output allows analog output of voltage, current and power signals, enabling analysis of transient events such as inrush currents and rapid power changes when used with instruments such as oscilloscopes.
For higher current measurements, BNC inputs allow connection of external sensors, enabling measurements up to 5000 A. Multiple units can be synchronized via BNC connections for time-aligned measurements in multi-channel systems.
The PW3337 series is available in several variants, and this model is fully equipped with both GPIB interface and D/A output, providing maximum flexibility for automated test systems.
