The Hioki LR8531 is a 15-channel wireless universal measurement module for the LR8450-01 Data Logger. It supports DC voltage, temperature, humidity and resistance measurements, with individual channel configuration for different measurement requirements.
Up to seven LR8531 modules can be connected wirelessly to a single LR8450-01, providing a total of 105 channels. Combined with four U8551 plug-in modules, the system can be expanded to 165 channels.
The module features 16-bit A/D resolution and an update interval down to 10 ms. DC voltage measurements are supported across nine ranges from ±10 mV to ±100 V. Four-wire resistance measurements are available in four ranges from 10 Ω to 200 Ω, with an accuracy of 0.1%.
Temperature measurements can be performed using thermocouples or resistance temperature detectors (RTDs). Supported thermocouple types include K, J, E, T, N, R, S, B and C, while compatible RTDs include Pt100, Pt1000 and JPt100. Humidity measurements are also supported with a compatible sensor.
The LR8531 features spring-cage terminals and 300 V isolation between channels and to earth. Wireless communication allows the module to be positioned close to measurement points, including confined or hard-to-reach locations. Power is supplied via an AC adapter or an optional battery pack.
