The BK Precision 4089GPIB combines an RF signal generator and an AWG/function generator in a single instrument. The RF generator covers a frequency range from 50 MHz to 3 GHz with 0.1 Hz resolution and an amplitude range from −110 dBm to +13 dBm. It supports AM, FM, PM and pulse modulation as well as linear and logarithmic sweeps.
The AWG/function generator provides 16-bit resolution, a 250 MSa/s sample rate and up to 4 Mpts of waveform memory. Sine and square waves can be generated at frequencies up to 80 MHz, while arbitrary waveforms can be created and edited directly on the instrument or using the supplied software.
The instrument provides separate outputs for the RF and AWG/function generators, allowing both to be used simultaneously. USB, LAN and GPIB are available for remote control, and the instrument supports SCPI commands.
